At this extra long Yin Yoga class (2 hours) Anouk will guide you through a nice, relaxing Yin Yoga XL session, where we will be able to indulge into the softness, richness and meditative aspect of the Yin Yoga practice even more than in the regular Yin Yoga classes!

Yin Yoga XL classes are perfectly suitable for everyone who is interested in Yin Yoga; for all levels of practitioners – beginners also very welcome!

During the Spring Season Anouk’s Yin Yoga XL classes have the theme of the Chinese Five Elements.

The ancient Taoist from China closely studied nature to determine what universal principles could be applied to the health and wellbeing of human beings.

The Five Elements in nature are drawn from: fire, water, wood, metal and earth. These elements symbolically express the 5 cycles of energy. The five natural elements relate to the five yin organs and represent how the yin yang meridian (energy channels) pairs behave on an energetic level when they are out of balance. The five elements represent a more detailed description of Yin & Yang in different forms of chi (vital life energy).

During each of these Yin Yoga XL class we do a practice dedicated to one of the Chinese Five Elements, through focussing on the corresponding meridian lines:

22.1 – Water Element (Kidney & Urinary Bladder meridians)

19.2 – Wood Element (Liver & Gall Bladder meridians)

19.3 – Fire Element (Heart & Small Intestines meridians)

23.4 – Earth Element (Spleen & Stomach meridians)

21.5 – Metal Element (Lungs & Large Intestines meridians)

All of these Yin Yoga XL classes can be followed separately from each other. No need to join for all of them, if you can’t make it for all these dates.

You can also join to the classes via Zoom. If you want join via Zoom, sign up to the class as normally via this page and pay the class, and also register to the Zoom event here. 

When you have registered to the Zoom, you get the link to the class via email.

Ohjaajana Anouk Hummel

Anouk started practicing yoga after a serious burnout, it immediately touched her soul and ever since she has been a dedicated practitioner of Astanga Yoga as well as Yin Yoga. Her love for the Astanga Yoga practice is still growing every day, but Yin Yoga was the practice to profoundly teach her how to balance all aspects of herself and of life, and how to practice yoga asana in a gentler and more self-compassionate way.

Anouk teaches in a manner that is open and accessible to everyone; beginners and more advanced yogis. Her classes are marked by softness, a lot of individual care and attention and sufficient space to explore and push your physical as well as mental boundaries in a very gentle way. With her yoga classes Anouk hopes to give her students inspiration and courage to bring the principles of yoga off the mat and into real life, as that is where our real yoga practice begins.
