Anouk will guide you through a nice, relaxing Yin Yoga XL session to align with the autumn season. In this extra long Yin class (2 hours) we will be able to indulge into the softness, richness and meditative aspect of the Yin Yoga practice even more!

During the autumn season, we are witnesses to nature releasing the abundant energy of (late) summer and it releases itself of what is not needed by letting go of the leaves. By using these leaves as compost, nature ensures that the soil is enriched by all the nutrients needed for growth and harvest during the next cycle. Nature shows us about our own cycles of creating and letting go.

Probably more than in any other season, autumn is where we learn more about ourselves. The energy of this season, supports our letting go of the old, the waste in our lives. This creates the space for us to open to all that is pure and new, providing us with the wisdom of who we are in essence. Autumn returns us to our essence, stimulates us to release what we no longer need, making it crystal clear again what is most precious and important in our lives.

During this session we will do a practice focused on the Metal element, according to the Chinese Five Elements theory. The Metal element is associated with the autumn season. By doing this extra long Yin practice we stimulate the meridian lines belonging to the Metal element: Lungs and Large Intestine meridian lines.

This Yin Yoga XL is suitable for everyone who is interested in Yin Yoga; for all levels of practitioners – beginners also welcome!

Ohjaajana Anouk Hummel

Anouk started practicing yoga after a serious burnout, it immediately touched her soul and ever since she has been a dedicated practitioner of Astanga Yoga as well as Yin Yoga. Her love for the Astanga Yoga practice is still growing every day, but Yin Yoga was the practice to profoundly teach her how to balance all aspects of herself and of life, and how to practice yoga asana in a gentler and more self-compassionate way.

Anouk teaches in a manner that is open and accessible to everyone; beginners and more advanced yogis. Her classes are marked by softness, a lot of individual care and attention and sufficient space to explore and push your physical as well as mental boundaries in a very gentle way. With her yoga classes Anouk hopes to give her students inspiration and courage to bring the principles of yoga off the mat and into real life, as that is where our real yoga practice begins.
